Botanical Cast Commissions

A wedding bouquet

Flowers from a childhood garden
A birthday surprise
A final farewell
The first sweet peas of summer

Some flowers stay with us long after they’ve faded.

I began by casting the plants I love, just because I was fascinated by them. Capturing their detail and their character in clay and plaster was endlessly rewarding.

What flowers have been part of your story?

But as people began taking my work home, I realised that no two people see the same flower in the same way – a quince flower evoked his blossom-rich garden, a forget-me-not reminded her of her mum, bluebells were deep peace in the busyness. I came to see that the beauty of these little artworks is often much more than just aesthetic.

As people began asking me to cast flowers that hold meaning for them, I found such pleasure in hearing their stories. Creating casts from flowers chosen for a celebration of life, recreating a wedding bouquet for a diamond wedding anniversary gift, preserving a bride’s bouquet while the joy of her wedding day is still fresh – every commission is completely unique because every story is different.

“The large framed square cast is an artwork in itself, but for us it holds a special connection to the memory of Mum.”

Your commission

Every commission begins with a conversation.

Whether you have fresh flowers from a recent celebration, a particular seasonal piece in mind, or you’d like me to recreate a bouquet from years gone by, we'll talk through your ideas together.

We'll decide on the shape and size of your cast, whether you'd like it framed or unframed, and discuss how to include any special requests.

No two commissions are ever the same, and I wouldn't want them to be.

The process

Get in touch - tell me about your flowers and your ideas.

Fresh flowers - for the best results I recommend receiving flowers within two days whenever possible.

Design - every cast is individually arranged to make the most of your flowers and the story behind them.

Creation - each botanical cast is handmade before being carefully finished and framed (if requested).

Delivery – I recommend collection if possible, but we can discuss delivery options to get your cast/s safely into your hands.

The details

These beautiful flower casts are made of plaster, so they are for indoor display. To keep them looking their best, avoid prolonged moisture or humid environments such as bathrooms.

Each cast is handmade to order. Timescales vary, but I’ll always let you know an estimated completion date before you book.

If you're not sure whether your flowers are suitable, please do get in touch. I'm always happy to chat through ideas with no obligation.

Kind Words

“If there could be an oxymoron in art, this cast could be it - the delicate, fragile, fleeting beauty of flowers and foliage, created in a permanent, sculptural form for us to appreciate every tiny detail.”

“At such a difficult time, I found peace and calm in choosing the flowers, taking time to really look at their natural form.”

“Thank you for the beautiful cast of flowers for my parents diamond wedding anniversary. I really appreciate the care and attention you took in creating it and the gold frame looked just divine. Such an amazing gift. Thank you”
