About Catkin & Conker
Catkin & Conker exists to build relationships between people and nature. When we feel connected to nature, we are likely to feel happier and more emotionally balanced. We feel a sense of purpose; we feel like we belong. Everything we do at Catkin & Conker is aimed at helping people learn about the wild world beyond our front doors, so that we can indulge ourselves in more wonder, whatever our stage of life. By facilitating direct experiences with nature for all ages and guiding natural play (whether that’s mud-painting with tots, willow weaving with ‘hens’, or bringing the seasons indoors for care home residents), a Catkin & Conker session aims to awaken your senses and renew your appreciation for the million tiny miracles unfolding around us every day.

"Nature always wears the colours of the spirit." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Who runs Catkin & Conker?
Hi, I’m Lucy. I’ve been lucky to spend a whole career working with people and nature as an environmental educator, a forest school leader, a teacher trainer (in forest schools and outdoor learning), a wildlife project officer and a community gardener. I’ve learned from some pretty wonderful people along the way. Now that I’ve got two young children, I have created Catkin & Conker to bring the benefits of nature connection to as many demographics as possible.
